DEFINITIONS

 

OUR SERVICES
We provide a babysitting introduction service.  We maintain a register of suitably qualified babysitters and We will introduce you to a Babysitter to attend at Your address / or specified hotel address as advised byYouat a date and time specified by You.

We do not directly employ the Babysitter either directly or indirectly.  The responsibility for directly engaging the Babysitter lies with You.

OUR BABYSITTERS
All Rutland Babysitters have previous childcare experience.  Our policy is to interview all babysitters face to face and we will take up at least two personal references and see original photographic ID.  All our babysitters have agreed to undergo an enhanced Criminal Reference Bureau (CRB) check.  Whilst the vast majority have completed the check and received their certificates back, due to the timescales involved, there may be limited periods where we cannot guarantee that every babysitter will have received their certificate from the CRB at the time of booking.  As a minimum all sitters will have completed and submitted a Disclosure Application Form. 

The Babysitter will happily provide photographic identification on arrival if requested but no details of this should be withheld by You.

OUR CHARGES

We charge a monthly membership rate of £7.95. Payments will be taken by direct debit from your credit/debit card each quarter until cancelled by You. Minimum membership period is 3 months. Thereafter membership can be cancelled at any time but no refund will be given for that month’s payment.

No money will be charged by Us until Your first booking is made.

YOUR BOOKING
You should book Your Babysitter as much in advance as possible.  Whilst every effort is made to source a babysitter, the availability of babysitters cannot always be guaranteed especially at peak periods or when booked at short notice.

If your booking is made at least two weeks in advance and we are unable to provide a babysitter then a full refund of one month’s membership fee will be made.

All bookings will be confirmed by e-mail unless there are exceptional circumstances or notice is short.

CANCELLATION BY YOU
You can cancel Your membership with Us at any time after the first three months but no refund of that month’s membership fee will be given.

CANCELLATION BY US
We can cancel any booking by giving You reasonable notice. Any booking cancelled within two weeks will result in a full refund of that month’s membership fee.

LIABILITY
Because We do not employ the Babysitters We are not responsible for the Babysitter cancelling, arriving late or being unable to attend.  We will of course make every effort to find an alternative Babysitter.

Because we do not employ the Babysitters We are not responsible for any claims, costs, damage, expenses or liabilities howsoever arising from the provision of babysitting services at your address / or Your specified hotel by the Babysitter whether by act, omission, default, negligence or otherwise.

PRIVATE ARRANGEMENTS
If it is established that You have either attempted to enter into or have entered into a private arrangement with a Babysitter to provide babysitting services outside this agreement We will not complete any future bookings for You.

BABYSITTERS CHARGES
The responsibility for paying the Babysitter is Yours.  The Babysitters should be paid directly at the end of the evening in accordance with the charges set out in the attached schedule.

You will be asked to agree to a minimum charge payable to the Babysitter equivalent to 3 hours of work.  As at 6th April 2008 this is £19.50 although this is subject to change.

The Babysitter will charge for every hour spent at the appropriate rate and each incomplete hour will be charged in quarter hour blocks.  Individual sitters may wish to charge an additional premium for public holidays and special events (e.g. Christmas, New Year, Valentines Day).  This additional premium will be quoted and agreed in advance between You and the Babysitter.

DATA PROTECTION
Rutland Babysitting fully respects the privacy and possessions of all its clients and will not pass any personal details onto any third parties.  Likewise, Rutland Babysitting expects all clients to respect the privacy of the Babysitters and should not request private numbers or addresses from the Babysitters.

 

HOTEL BOOKINGS
Babysitting services connected to hotel bookings can be made for visitors to Rutland, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, and Cambridgeshire hotels.

HOTEL BOOKING CHARGES
A £10 deposit is payable in advance for all bookings made. The Babysitters should be paid directly at the end of the evening in accordance with the charges set out in the attached schedule under ‘hotel rates for non members’.

HOTEL BOOKINGS – CANCELLATION BY YOU
If a booking is cancelled at least 48 hours before it is due to commence then Your deposit will be refunded.  If a booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the booking no refund will be given.

HOTEL BOOKINGS – CANCELLATION BY US
We can cancel any booking by giving You reasonable notice.  Any booking cancelled will result in a full refund of your deposit.

 

OTHER MATTERS
The terms set out above represent the entirety of the agreement between Us and You.

These terms and any dispute arising from them will be governed by the Law of England and Wales and subjected to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

No waiver by Us and any of the above terms is to be taken as a waiver of any subsequent breach by any person.
